Pride & Glory is a typical 90's riff-oriented heavy metal album distinguished by great 70's Southern rock vibes (harmonica, piano, mandolin, banjo, nice acoustic parts, and singing style). There are some occasional Beatlesque influences too (piano and pop sensibilities). My favourite Zakk Wylde's album, with some of his characteristics sense of humour. This a good precursor to what he will end up doing with Black Label Society. David Yvinec
Texas band draft an all-killer, no-filler love letter to ’70s hard rock and metal, with surging vocals and riffs that command respect. Bandcamp New & Notable Feb 4, 2024
OMG, late to the party but this is some of the best occult infused doom stoner tackle I've ever heard. Reference points include Sabbath (obvs), especially with the Ozzy-esque vocals but there's also the melodiousness of early Heep mixing with a more contemporary occult rock sound. It starts in the 70's and makes it to the present day. The riffs are huge but it's their way with a hook that elevates this from your average doom/stoner fare. Very wonderful indeed! egg-magoo
